
BEGINNING LEVELS
Work shapes in warm up - hollow, arch straight (kitty cat
back, bow-wow back, tin soldier)
VAULT - Proper board hit & running form. Board hits
with straight, tuck, straddle and 1/2, I/I jumps onto an 8" skill cushion.
BARS - Jumping to front support from low to high surfaces. Pull
ups - 5 (overgrip & undergrip). High bar shimmy. Walk up
Pullovers.
BEAM - Proper mounting. Jumping to front support. Tuck V sit (to
stand). Getting used to high beam. Releve' walks, stretch jumps on LB
FLOOR - All jumps - straight, tuck, straddle, 1/2, 1/1
Bridge walks. Jumping feet off the ground in a bridge. Forward rolls with jumps
after. Headstands. Always work handstands (facing cheese & away from). Tin
soldiers.
INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED
Work shapes in warm up - hollow, arch,
straight
VAULT - Proper board hit & running
form. Board hits with straight jumps onto table, various jumps off to
stick stick game. From red block jump off onto spring board and onto another
mat. Can progress this drill to HS flat back.
BARS - Jumping to glide swings. Jump to glide swing and pull
toes to bar and hold for 2-3 swings. Drill: (pull your pants on).
Pull ups - 5 (overgrip & undergrip). Jumping to HB. Single leg jam
(shoot through).
BEAM - Jump mounts with spring board. Ex/Squat on, straddle on,
jump to stand. Various walks front, side, back place arms in different positions
(hips or shoulders). Stretch jumps on HB, tuck jumps, split jumps on LB or HB.
Jump connections.
FLOOR - All jumps - straight, tuck, straddle, 1/2 1/1.
Standing BHS with jumps after. HS forward rolls with jumps after. Round offs
with jumps after. Always work handstand (facing cheese and away from). HS
snap down rebound. Dive rolls off floor and off spring board onto 8"
mat. Punch fronts off spring board onto 8" mat.
